Miraculous Provision

On Febrary 27, 2015, Commitment Sunday had arrived for The Father's House in Napa. The We Can Do This Campaign had officially launched and we were ready to rock and roll. 10-months to go! It was Go-Time! I prayed that morning over my family's offering for the campaign and The Lord provided a clear way for us to step out in Faith and step into more of what He was calling us to do for The Kingdom. He asked us to create a 10-class series of Yoga Benefit Classes-- all proceeds to go to The Father's House for the We Can Do This Campaign. He gave me a specific number for our commitment that wasn't outrageous, but definitely challenged our Faith. We said Yes.

I created the Yoga Benefit class event and posted it to Facebook that week in obedience to His call. Immediately, we had five responses and a wonderful reception to the vision in motion! Hallelujah!! The event was scheduled for nearly one-month away, giving us plenty of time to get the word out.

Nearly two weeks later, we held our bi-weekly Christ-centered Yoga Friday Morning Small Group @ our home. It was a beautiful turn-out for this auspicious day of meeting. We all felt the Presence of The Lord as we practiced, prayed and studied together that morning. After our time together, Kellen and I walked the ladies and their babies out to their cars and said our good-byes. One young momma, Jeordan Ward stayed behind in her parked car and began to write. Kellen and I noticed this, found it interesting, and proceeded to go back inside our gate to prepare for lunchtime. As we moved toward our kitchen, we noticed Jeordan had left her Yoga mat behind. We hurried out to her car to make sure we'd catch her before she drove away. Sure enough, she was still parked and writing. I knocked softly on her passenger-side window. She rolled it down with a smile. "You left this behind!" we said as we handed her the mat. She took it gratefully and then returned to her writing. We turned back to the house after saying one more good-bye, and then noticed she had opened her driver's side door and was heading around to meet us on the sidewalk. She was holding a small white envelope. "This is for you," she said simply. "I know The Lord has put it on your heart to donate all proceeds for this small group to The We Can Do This campaign, but The Lord put this specific amount on my heart for The Little Yogi Room." I was awestruck. I received the enveloped gratefully and gave Jeordan a huge hug. "Thank you for your obedience, Sister." I said. "We will pray about how The Lord would like us to invest this Gift." We smiled in a beautiful silence with one another, said our thank you's and good-bye's. Kellen and I turned to go back inside and move toward lunchtime once again.

After lunch, Kellen and I decided it was time to open our special, little envelope. How exciting! What could it be? We opened it eagerly and read the beautiful, handwritten note from Jeordan:

"Erica-- I know you said whatever was donated during the small group would go to The Father's House. But I had it on my heart to give you, and 'The Little Yogi Room' this specific amount. I believe your Christ Centered Yoga is something beautiful that Glorifies Christ! That being said-- feel free to use this however The Holy Spirit leads you. But it was put on my heart to be a blessing financially to you, your family, and your wonderful business! Love, Your Sister in Christ!"

A small, folded check was enclosed with this beautiful, Holy Spirit-written card. We opened it. It was exactly DOUBLE the amount that we had committed in our hearts to The We Can Do This Campaign!!! AMAZING!!! As soon as I saw this amount, I began to laugh. That was my initial response to God's Amazing, Miraculous Provision. Kellen looked at me and was a little confused at first. Then he started laughing too! What an amazing moment! I felt so much of God's Love and His Bigness in that moment. He is SO FAR BEYOND our finite minds. I put Kellen down for his nap and we said a prayer of Gratitude. I called Jeordan afterward to thank her for her family's RADICAL generousity and for her obedience. I shared that the amount The Lord had put on her heart was EXACTLY DOUBLE the amount that The Lord had put on my heart for our family to invest in The We Can Do This Campaign. I shared with her how I believe He doubled the amount to show us that not only would he fulfill what He had called us to invest, but He that He provides exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond all that we can think or imagine (Ephesians 3:20)!!!

SO GOOD! And just when you think it can't get any better, it gets better. The part that completely blew both of our minds was this:

It was the morning of February 27, 2015 when I wrote down our family's commitment the We Can Do This Campaign. Jeordan sent me a text message a few days after she and her family blessed us with the financial Gift. She sent us the exact journal entry she wrote when The Lord put it on her heart to pray and give the specific amount that she and her family gave. The date on this journal entry? February 27, 2015. No joke. The Lord is Good. He is Faithful. There is no denying the Fruit of obedience!!!
